We are proud to have served the following organizations, and humbled by the impact on student learning we are together creating:

Navneet Education Limited: Since 1959, Navneet Education Limited is one of India’s leading education content providers and book publishers. In 2020-21, Navneet is launching CBSE Board-aligned textbooks of all subjects, for grades 1-8, pan-India. Navneet partnered with CSEL for creating the first-of-its-kind SEL-integrated content for subject textbooks of English and Hindi literature, Science, Social Science, Math and Environmental Studies. CSEL developed research-backed parameters, rubrics and guidelines for integrating inquiry- based questions and SEL learning methods into all of these textbooks, across grades 1-8.

National Skill Development Corporation: The National Skill Development Corporation (India) is a not-for-profit company that aims to fulfil the growing need in India for skilled manpower across sectors. NSDC has undertaken the tremendous endeavor of mapping industry-relevant functions, standards of performance/ skills and knowledge to educational institutions that provide curricula and training for those sectors. For the first time in its history, NSDC has sought to integrate the learning of social-emotional, affective and behavioral objectives into the curricular frameworks for job roles across 38 skill sectors such as plumbing, furniture, beauty and wellness, etc. CSEL was contracted to produce the SEL frameworks and rubrics relevant to the Indian vocational workplace, and train leaders of 38 Sector Skill Councils on integrating the SEL frameworks in their curricula.

Educational Initiatives: Educational Initiatives (EI) is an edtech organization that leverages the twin levers of cutting-edge educational research and a technology-based solutions approach to revolutionize how children engaged in the K-12 education space learn. EI contracted CSEL to create frameworks, and train EI staff on creating SEL assessments. The SEL assessment tools created will be used to measure 11th grade students’ values, attitudes and behaviors (aligned to the NCF) in Madhya Pradesh state government schools.

Central Square Foundation: We served CSF on an English literacy project, intended to serve low income families across India through a Youtube-based intervention called “ABCGo!” Our work involved researching and creating a list of parameters for effective video-based pedagogy for 60 competencies comprising pre-literacy and literacy skills in the Indian context, and evaluating existing Youtube educational content for best fit to each competency.

ClassDojo: ClassDojo (USA) is a school communication platform actively used in 95% of all K-8 schools in the U.S. and 180 countries, that teachers, students, and families use every day to build close-knit communities. 15 million children have learned about Growth Mindset and Empathy with ClassDojo’s Big Ideas series. ClassDojo has partnered with CSEL to produce a video series teaching social emotional skills to K-5 school children, with follow-up activities for teachers and parents to support SEL learning of students.

The Message: The Message (USA) is an organization that works with teens in the USA and Canada, to build 21st century life skills through nontraditional programs that employ live music and popular culture as vehicles for learning. Their work focuses on media literacy, critical thinking, and healthy decision-making as keys to unlocking positive life outcomes. CSEL was contracted to conduct a quality assessment of their curriculum, and integrate SEL activities into their media literacy curriculum for high schoolers.

Project Potential: Project Potential (India) is a non-profit organization that aims to enable rural communities to address challenges in learning systems, sustainable living and economy by building sustainable possibilities for the village. CSEL partnered with Project Potential on designing a research study to study the environmental influences of family, home and Aanganwadi on the cognitive, social and emotional development of children in the 3-5 years age group, in Kishanganj district, Bihar.

Kickboard: In partnership with Kickboard, a US based Ed-Tech company that helps teachers and school leaders create a positive school culture, CSEL designed lesson plans for thousands of teachers based on the behaviour framework of Positive Behaviour Intervention and Supports (PBIS).

Delhi Directorate of Education: We served the Delhi Directorate of Education by crafting assessment tools for grades 1-8, for use in 1000+ schools serving 8 lakh+ students, assessing skills such as self awareness, empathy, and ethical reasoning on topics of environment sustainability, health and hygiene, civic sense, and gender sensitivity in Deshbhakti Curriculum.

Largest Edtech company of Indian origin: We have designed, delivered and assessed impact of multiple SEL projects serving students and teachers at the current largest Edtech company of Indian origin.

Anudip Foundation: As advisors, we have served Anudip Foundation in final design and selection of SEL assessment tools measuring the 5 interpersonal skills core to Anudip’s programs for young adults. Our process included mapping indicators to relevant frameworks, field testing shortlisted assessments and making context-specific changes to the assessment tools based on feedback from the field tests.
